Abdullah! You're alive! Ever since you disappeared into the world of Twitter in search of privacy I've wondered how you were doing. Hope all is well with you. Have you talked to Abbas or Caesar? How are they?

Oh, Mel, I'm sorry I haven't been back sooner to check up on you! I've been so busy that I've just checked Zeyad's.

My father has diabetes too. It's a horrible thing to have to try and manage. He has had it for about 22 years and uses insulin to try to regulate his blood sugar level. Unfortunately, as he ages, regulating the sugar level becomes more difficult as he loses stamina. My Mother is on the front lines of having to deal with the ramifications.

I hope you are not totally alone in maintaining the house, and his care? (I discount some of those people you mentioned as being less than useless.) This is one of those things where family, and close friends, are of the utmost importance.

We here in the States are struggling with our health care system. We have always been told how wonderful Europe's is. Hmmm...

It's been a while since you've posted, I hope that your father is doing better. I will check back more frequently to see how you are doing. *hugs Mel*

I am sure nurse Kathrin would provide me with photos if I asked. *grins manically*

That he does, that he does. Now if we can please always get the nurse we/he got the first two times, and not the one from yesterday again.... Alpha-Tüll, snrrrrr.

"Rejoice, ye faithful readers, for this post will not be illustrated with pictures!!"

And we all should be very grateful for that!

I'd say things _are_ looking up. At least his new doctor sounds promising.

*hugs*
