Taste is a bit different, for instance, my sis likes onions in all shapes and colours (including spring onions) but doesn't like leek. @ Frans: I fried the leek (and some herbs and garlic) in oil for a bit, added some water, let it boil till it was done, blended it, added more water and spices.... et voilà! @ David: Guess you can call it a cousin.
