Winter returns

So, it snowed again today.

After spending some time cussing (with good reason…) and shovelling the snow off the driveway, I grabbed my cam and took a few pics.

Enjoy:

snowy crown
snow supported on hibiscus seed pods

advancing snow
snow invading the partially roofed backyard

Wow, that is ALOT of snow. Gorgeous pictures.
I wish we could get some here again. I got a bit sick of it last time but now im wishing for it again. Maybe next week :)

Looking at your pics makes me almost glad that winter returned…

Did someone say they were wishing for snow?

Lovely pictures, Mel. They remind me of here…

We spent 3 days over the Christmas holidays removing snow. Every morning there was more. Thank heaven for snowblowers!

Now we’ve got an arctic chill hovering over our region… *shiver*

…and all that lovely snow has frozen into a substance reminiscent of concrete.

We just got our first significant snow a few days ago, but it was less than 6 inches.

Your snow on hibiscus looks very much like cotton that I saw in farmers fields in Alabama.

So, what exactly did the neighbor’s Tom leave in the snow? ;)

Also, it is very, very cold in here. actually its warm now, only -2, practically t-shirt weather.

oh, halfway thru Unseen Academicals, call it evolution, call it age, the book is solid gold, but its not the same as the old discworlds. actually the last eight books or so have felt a bit.. different, an evolution in their own right.
everytime i read another page i feel so happy and thrilled because of the quality, and very, very sad because deep down i fear we will not have many more such books.

i am sad, yet i am happy.

like i said, if you can, geddit! (bought it hardcover for 5 euro or so off of Amazon ages ago on sale) solid gold i say :) many old/new characters are fleshed out a bit, mainly the faculty of the UU, oh and Vetinari gets drunk as a skunk, and that is all i will say! :P
