I had someone tell me on another blog once that she thought squat toilets were more sanitary than the western style. Hmmm…

You know, I’ve heard that after people have been married for awhile they start to look alike. It appears the same thing happens with friends, too. Because Anarki & the V-Knight look almost like twins.

Well, I had two books with me, but what with all that time spent waiting at airports and my habit of reading a bit every night before getting to sleep I was glad I had bought some new ones.

Well, in a way squat toilets are more sanitary.
You’d never catch me sitting down on a regular public toilet, but many do cos they can’t “hover” above the seat. So on the regular toilets a lot of ppl come into contact with the toilet seat and whatever might live on it.
A squat toilet you don’t touch. And even a messy one like that…. well, you might dirty your shoes (you’d do that as well in any other public toilet that filth pigs have been using) but you’re not sitting in anything icky.
The ideal would of course be a squat toilet that only gets used by people who have a good aim.
Still, I hate them.

You think you found a nasty toilet? When I was a kid, I went to Boy Scout camp for two weeks every summer. The “facilities” there included a seat over a cess pit (boy scout equipment should have included a gas mask!) with spiders under the lid! I still shudder at the memory!

The Irish Pub facility is very nice indeed.

seriously tho: last week i got so upset that my uncle, a Physician (Urology), could mentally multiply numbers quicker than me, an Electrical (Computer) Engineer. (numbers is practically my language, and i dont mean in that stupid TV show way) sigh. my brain is growing soft.

yes, well, not Amman per se:

most of Jordan is still rural, cities and towns are, well, “civilized”
and even in the capital, only the “west” side is all glass and and steel and exposed navels, the “east” side of the city is still poor, with old structures, old mentalities, old everything not necessarily all bad, tho
