… of the sky after a hail/rain storm shortly before sundown. Everything outside was cast into a weird murky red light.
The cam is doing its best to show you…

Great pics, Sis!
……..Now, why didn’t I take my cam outside on that day…?

I once saw the sky turn green right before a tornado. Now that was scarry! I hope that you didn’t get big hail! A few years ago, we had so much hail that it piled up several inches deep. The biggest hail stones I saw were about 3 cm. I watched it coming down through a window (probably not a smart thing to do!). The falling hail was so thick that I could barely see through it. The event lasted for a few minutes. Don’t want to see that again!

“Red sky at night, sailors delight. Red sky in the morning, sailors take warning.”
Beautiful pictures.

Mafdet: I don’t know…?
David: Well, we don’t have tornadoes here (yet…)
Nah, it was more rain than hail. And over very quickly.
Lynnette: Hm, saw no delighted sailors around…
Hehe, I abandoned tv, grabbed my cam and ran outside barefoot. I had no clue whether it would be able to capture that weird atmosphere or not, but I had to try..

My favorite muppet was Oscar the Grouch who lived in a garbage can.
I remember as a little kid getting into the big green steel trash can and peeking out from under the lid. Maybe I was hoping my sister would walk by so I could scare her.

David: on the Muppet Show: i was always trying to emulate The Great Gonzo
on the dubbed version of Sesame st., i liked Cookie Monster most of all
our version didn’t have Grouch, the arabic version had some original characters instead, it was an official sanctioned commission, approved by Henson and Oz, and the puppeteers were even trained by them.
classic arabic was spoken, directed toward the gulf countries, it was called “Open Sesame” and was (and still is) a BIG hit in arab countries.. now they also have an Egyptian dialect version now.. oh and the Israeli/Palestinian version just launched a few days ago..
Henson was a genius.

Yeah, Akismet couldn’t decide whether you were spam or not. So dumb.
“This comment is spam! I’ll put it into the spam folder for Melantrys.” Four minutes later.
“This comment has the same commentor’s name, email address, url and IP, but this is not spam so I’ll let it be published.”
Right, Akismet, that’s the way to go….
Well, I de-spammed you. Hopefully Aksimet can remember that now…
Hm, funny, I’m having this weird feeling I already read this on yahoo messenger…

Anarki, I didn’t know there was an Arabic version of The Muppets! That’s great! Also, I completely agree that Henson was a genius.
Recently, there was a bit fuss about some sort of Palestinian “Muppet” teaching little kids to become suicide bombers. I was horrified! Well, thankfully that was pulled off the air very quickly. I’m glad to hear that some real Muppets are coming to Israel/Palestine. I hope the show can teach respect and tolerance to kids from both groups!
Hey, watch out for Agent Smith!
